Back in 2004 Greg hit the headlines when he won five million dollars which at the time was the biggest poker tournament win ever. He won this at the main event of the World Series of Poker
He is known as the Fossilman thanks to his unusual hobby of collecting fossils which he brings with him and keeps at the poker table, he was born in 1964 and has a wife and daughter.
He moved to Connecticut in 1999 which as you may or may not know is close to the Foxwoods resort, and here he became a regular and serious poker player.
Greg Raymer really got into poker when he moved to Connecticut in 1999 and was close to Foxwoods Resorts and its poker room. His favorite game is, as you would guess, No Limit Texas Hold’em
