Signup Bonus
Once you have used up the no deposit bonus from Poker Time, it might just be time for you to take a closer look at the signup bonus that Poker Time offers in addition to the no deposit bonus. This signup bonus is something that everyone gets to enjoy no matter where they might hail from. It is worth 100% up to $500 and it is added to your bonus balance depending on the first deposit that you make. It only works for the first deposit, so even if you make two successive $250 deposits the only bonus money you’ll get is a $250 bonus on the first deposit as opposed to a $500 bonus on everything.
In order to get the bonus, you need to clear it at the rate of 4 poker points per dollar in bonus money that you have received. The bonus is released in $10 increments however, so you will get some of the bonus when you collect 40 poker points. In total, you have 30 days from the time you take the bonus to clear it, at which point any part of the bonus that you have not cleared expires.
Loyalty Program
In addition to the no deposit bonus and the signup bonus, Poker Time also has a loyalty program that you can take advantage of by collecting the same poker points that you used to clear the bonus in the previous section. The points can be used for special tournament entry or redeemed for other valuable objects.
The poker points at Poker Time are collected through playing in raked cash games and by paying tournament fees for tournaments. In both cases, the exchange rate of points to dollars is 2.5 points per dollar generated. In other words, for every dollar in rake that you pay and for every dollar in tournament fees that you pay, you get 2.5 poker points. The only thing to keep in mind is that the base rate is in European dollars, so conversions of point amounts need to be made for other currencies.
All in all however, you should understand that at least as far as the tournament release rate is concerned, this one has a better rate than most other websites. Even though you receive a smaller absolute number of points per dollar in tournament fees, you can actually do a lot more with the points that you receive. In the end, the relative value of poker points at Poker Time is higher and that makes earning loyalty through playing tournaments far more cost effective than normal at Poker Time.
